PROJECT: Brand Identity & Communication Strategy
YEAR: 2015
ROLE: Concept developer, identity designer, campaign strategist
Created as my bachelor thesis project, ReWaste is a speculative brand identity for a fictional waste management company that repositions recycling as a valuable, everyday action. The concept revolves around the idea of "waste as new resource," highlighting transformation through strong symbolic visuals and accessible communication.
I designed a phoenix-inspired logo to reflect renewal and continuity, alongside two advertising campaigns: one using gold accents to elevate the perceived value of recycled goods, and another showing flowers emerging from plastic waste as a symbol of rebirth.
The project also proposed a points-based reward system using a magnetic card to incentivise citizens based on their recycling habits.
RESULT:
The project received the highest score during the final thesis discussion and was praised for its narrative clarity, design execution, and cultural relevance.
